Celebrate Wellness and Community at the Senior Fitness Festival 2025

Join us at the Whatcom Family YMCA for an energizing celebration of health, vitality, and community!

On Wednesday, May 28 from 9 AM to 12:30 PM, we invite older adults from across our community to come together for the Senior Fitness Festival 2025 — a vibrant morning of fun, movement, connection and discovery.

This free event for members (and open to non-members with a day pass) is your chance to explore a wide variety of engaging fitness classes designed just for you. Whether you're looking to try something new or reconnect with old favorites, you’ll find options that support health in spirit, mind and body.

What to Expect:

  • Pop-Up Fitness Classes: With multiple sessions running simultaneously, you can choose your own adventure — from Tai Chi and chair yoga to water aerobics, dance fitness, and beyond.

  • Games and Gatherings: Enjoy refreshments in our newly renovated lobby while puzzling and playing cards with new friends.

  • Prize Drawings: Every class you attend is a chance to win — we’ll be holding drawings throughout the morning!

No registration is needed, but space may be limited in certain sessions — so come early and bring your enthusiasm!

  • Weight Room Orientation (Meet by 3rd floor staircase)

9:45 – 10:15 AM

  • Pickleball 101 (Gym)

  • Social Cycling (Studio 2)

10:05 – 11:05 AM

  • Water Aerobics (Large Pool)

10:30 – 11 AM

  • Dance Fitness (Studio 1)

  • Strength Class (Studio 2)

11:15 – 11:45 AM

  • Tai Chi (Studio 1)

  • Chair Yoga (Studio 2)

Noon – 12:30 PM

  • Weight Room Orientation (Meet by 3rd floor staircase)
