Pool Reopening Update: Thank You for Your Patience

At the Y, we’re committed to ensuring a safe, welcoming and high-quality experience for all our members. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been hard at work giving our pool and surrounding facilities some much-needed care during our scheduled annual maintenance.

We’re excited to share the improvements we’ve made:

• Fresh paint throughout the pool area for a clean, bright look.

• A brand-new on-deck shower to support swimmer hygiene.

• A replacement door and added privacy features to the on-deck youth-only restroom.

• Tile repairs around the pool edge for enhanced safety and comfort.

• Restored and repainted stairway access between the locker rooms and the pool.

These upgrades are part of our continued investment in your experience and in keeping our facilities aligned with the Y’s commitment to healthy living and community wellness.

We had planned to reopen the pool this morning, Monday, May 19. However, despite being fully prepped, we encountered an unexpected issue: the water temperature did not reach a safe and comfortable level for use. We believe this is due to a combination of cooler-than-expected temperatures over the weekend and the time it takes for the newly refilled pool to stabilize.

We now anticipate the pool will be ready to reopen by Wednesday, May 21, once it reaches appropriate temperatures. Until then, we’ll keep the pool area closed to ensure safety and comfort for all swimmers.

We know how much our members look forward to using the pool, and we truly apologize for the inconvenience and delay. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work to make the Y the best it can be for you and for our entire community.
