Make a Splash with Us This National Swimming Pool Day!

Friday, July 11 | 4:30–8:45 PM | Free Family Swim at Whatcom Family YMCA

This Friday, July 11, is National Swimming Pool Day, and we’re celebrating with a Free Family Swim at the Whatcom Family YMCA from 4:30 to 8:45 p.m. Everyone is invited, both members and guests, to enjoy an evening of fun in the water.

Reasons to make a splash with us:
💦 It’s open to everyone. Whether you swim every week or haven’t been in the pool in years, this is your chance to enjoy the water in a safe and welcoming environment.

🧡 It’s about connection. Bring your kids, your partner, your friends, or just yourself. This is a space to unwind, have fun, and spend time together.

🏊 It’s more than a swim. It’s a reminder that we all deserve access to healthy activities and a supportive community. That’s what the Y is all about.

Why swimming matters
Swimming is one of the most important life skills a person can learn. It helps kids stay safe around water and gives adults a low-impact, full-body way to stay active. At the Y, our swim lessons and Safety Around Water programs are designed to meet people where they are and help them grow with confidence.

Whether you're considering lessons, looking for a way to connect with other families, or just want to splash around after a long week, this Friday night is for you.
