Y Adventure School Giving Back By Cleaning Up!
Blaine Middle School Is Building a Better Tomorrow
On February 1st, we finished up Y Adventure School (YAS) with a group of 6th graders from Blaine Middle School. On the third and final day of YAS, we focus our programming on community impact. We figured we could double our impact if we did something to help the environment too, so we embarked on a beach clean-up!
We spent all day at Point Whitehorn Marine Reserve in Blaine walking around with trash bags and gloves. It was a great way to learn about biodegradability and the importance of disposing of waste properly. What material did we collect the most of? Styrofoam.
Look at all those bags, way to go BMS!
