Membership Policy
There are three types of membership: annual, monthly and daily.
Annual Membership:
A 12 month single payment.
Monthly Membership:
A month-to-month commitment to use the Y facilities and programs. We request you notify the YMCA by the 15th of the preceding month of any change.
Daily Membership:
Y facilities are available on a per-day basis. Fees ($7.00 for adults/$4.00 youth) can be applied to an annual or monthly membership, if receipt is presented within three business days.
Membership Cards
Each member will receive a permanent picture membership card. Please present your card upon each visit. Membership cards are non-transferable.
Guest Policies
Adult annual members are issued a guest card worth 12 visits. The same guest may come a maximum of three times. Members must accompany and are responsible for their guests. Guests of monthly members may purchase daily memberships.
Group Memberships
Group memberships available for groups of 10 or more. Contact the Y office at 733-8630 for more information.
Waiver of Liability Notice
In consideration of being permitted to utilize any YMCA facility all members, guests and program participants must sign a Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement. The YMCA carries no health and accident insurance on participants' behalf.
Program Members Registration Fee
Participants wishing to enroll in a specific program must become a program member in addition to paying designated program fees. The fee for program membership is $10 per person per calendar year.
Class Registration
Participants may register for classes at the Business Desk. Telephone registrations are accepted with payment by Visa or Mastercard if participants have an EMERGENCY FORM (REC) on file for current calendar year.
A.W.A.Y. Program
Always Welcome At The YMCA
This program allows Y members to use their membership card at many Y's throughout the U.S. and Canada. Enjoy physical fitness and recreation whenever you travel. For more information contact the Service Desk.
Financial Assistance Available
The Whatcom Family YMCA is an association of individuals with shared values which enhance the community with programs for the spirit, mind and body.
