Madison is only 9 years old but spoke beautifully about how learning to swim and joining the YMCA Swim Team has impacted her life. We also were introduced to Luis, a Special Olympian who was very proud to show us the medals he received for an outstanding swimming performance. Finally, Tish read a letter from Elizabeth who was so thankful to the YMCA for providing her daughter, Taeghan, a scholarship to learn how to swim. Her experience with the Y swim program helped her both emotionally and physically. Finally, Bobbie, a Y member for 22 years who has MS, spoke about how the Water Fitness program has helped her maintain strength through the struggles with her disease. She also is so grateful for the fun and friendships she has made over the years.
