The YMCA’s Diabetes Program (DPP) helps adults at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles by eating healthier, increasing physical activity and losing a modest amount of weight in order to reduce their chances of developing the disease.
Research by the National Institutes of Health has shown that programs like DPP can reduce the number of new cases of type 2 diabetes by 58%, and 75% of adults over the age of 60.
If you would like to be on a mailing list for updates on our DPP program, please e-mail your contact information to firstname.lastname@example.org or call Tracy Diehl at 360.733.8630.
